1) ProductBC (Vancouver Product Management Community Slack) (625+ members as of Feb 1st, 2019)

Over 625 product managers, product marketers and other folks who love product in Vancouver.  This workplace is run by ProductBC.

ProductBC is a non-profit association supporting the professional growth of their members across British Columbia. They provide members with an opportunity to connect with and learn from experts in the field of Product Management and Product Marketing. They offer a range of services that benefit our members, regardless of the stage of their career.

2) Vancity Digital Project Managers (415+ members as of Feb 1st, 2019)

If you work as a Project Manager or producer for a digital or advertising agency, manage an internal team at a startup or software company, do marketing, design, content, or development freelancing, or work onsite managing a company's online presence or internal applications, this group is for you. You might have noticed: PM is a hat as well as a role.

 3) Civic Tech YVR (100+ members as of Feb 1st, 2019)

Civic Tech YVR are people interested in examining civic issues through the lens of design & technology. This looks like: regular meetups with speakers, open discussions, and sharing of projects that are making a difference in civic issues in Vancouver.

What they're building towards is a community that provides support for one another in projects that impact civic issues. They'll provide the space in which people can reliably get together to do that.

4) Women in Product

Women in Product Vancouver gets together every couple of months to allow their members to chat with peers in Product Management (or interested in Product Management) about current challenges and wins and to build relationships.

Women in Product Vancouver events are for cis and trans women and those who are gender non-binary, gender-fluid and femme-identified.

6) Vancouver Developers (3400+ members as of Feb 1st, 2019)

The largest Slack workplace in Vancouver and all British Columbia for developers. Over 3400 developers and over 100 channels, you can find something for yourself whether you are interested in big data, Agile, AWS, Asure, blockchain, drupal or virtually anything else you didn’t even know is possible.

7) VanVR (The Vancouver VR Community) (475+ members as of Feb 1st, 2019)

VanVR is the best in the west inclusive virtual reality collective comprised of VR enthusiasts, evangelists, and creators. They invite folks of all different levels and interests. Their goal is to share work and thoughts, actively promote diversity, and to create an enriched discourse on VR, making Vancouver a premiere flagship virtual reality hub in Canada.

In 2018, The Vancouver VR Community merged with the VanVR Meetup. VanVR was established in 2013 and introduced technical workshops and socials around VR.

9) Women Who Code YVR Public (215+ members as of Feb 1st, 2019)

Women Who Code (WWCode) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring women to excel in technology careers. They work to support this generation of technology professionals in being and becoming leaders and role models in the tech industry, and is one of the largest communities of women engineers in the world, garnering a membership of more than 50,000 people in 20 countries.
